Who Are We? About CB2 Union Square

Come one, come all to our CB2 Union Square modern furniture store in the bustling plaza just off the historic San Francisco Market St. Our Bay Area guests can visit two shopping floors filled with housewares, decor and home furnishings. The second story is a classic French-style mezzanine, an architectural feature of the original building. Our bright, airy locale is busiest on Saturdays and Sundays, but tourists and locals alike are welcome to our store any day of the week.

Many of our Bay Area guests are city dwellers looking to outfit small houses, townhomes, lofts and apartments. Our customers appreciate CB2’s selection of perfectly-sized apartment sofas, such as the Savile, as well as our Drommen bed. Other favorites include our Marta drinking glasses and our white Loom planters.

If you visit us and can’t find what you’re looking for, an associate will be happy to assist you using personal iPads. They use super-speedy technology to find your products online, and they can even help you skip the line by placing your order on the spot. Our associates are also happy to walk you through our one-of-a-kind collection, from unique sculptures and art prints to contemporary rugs and modern lighting.

Where Are We? Location & Parking

Located just off the historic Market St. thoroughfare, we are housed within the Union Square plaza that's about a mile from the San Francisco Ferry Building along the Embarcadero. CB2 Union Square is also just over a mile’s drive away from the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge. The Square is a major tourist destination within the Bay Area, and our guests have easy access to numerous other retail destinations, including Barneys, Marshalls and Forever 21. While you’re at it, visit our Crate and Barrel family just around the corner on Stockton St.

The surrounding shops, restaurants and attractions make it easy for our guests to make a day of their visit to the store. After shopping housewares with us, recharge with a meal at Slanted Dog or Hog Island. Both eateries offer tremendous bay area views from their location inside the ferry building. If you prefer to stay closer to the store, grab coffee and a sandwich at Dottie’s True Blue Cafe or Café de la Presse, each a mere ten-minute stroll from us. Are you a visitor to the area? Hop on the cable car, an icon of The Golden City, for a one-of-a-king San Fran experience.

Guests who drive to the store may use the adjacent Ellis-O’Farrell Garage to park. We validate one hour of parking with a purchase. CB2 Union Square is also accessible via the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) Powell St. Station stop, as well as the cable car terminus at Powell St. and Market St. Exit MUNI buses 6, 7, 9 and 9R at Market St. and Stockton St. for easiest store access.

In-store order pick-ups are currently changing on a daily basis due to some construction outside the storefront. Please call us in-store or stop by in person to inquire about pick-ups.

In order to best serve our Bay Area community, CB2 Union Square now offers guests the opportunity to take part in our Custom Upholstery Program, which allows them to create one-of-a-kind headboards, sofas and chairs. Work one-on-one with a trained associate to design a piece of modern furniture tailored to your individuality and style.

We take pride in hosting events that cater to our San Francisco neighborhood. This location has previous thrown pride parties, held special pet meet-ups and showcased DIY sessions relevant to our products and our customers.
